Redefining Responsibility in Medical School

studentsfornationalhealthprogram:

“The responsibility we vowed to take on at our white coat ceremony entails not only learning the material conveyed in lecture and on the wards, but also advocating for causes of social justice that are inextricably linked to our patients’ health and wellbeing.”

Max Feinstein, a medical student at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, writes on intrainingdoc about the responsibility medical students have to advocacy and social justice for their patients.

He is a member of the executive board of the Students for a National Health Program (SNaHP) chapter at Case Western.
